Nominate Here!

Do you know someone that you think deserves an award? Nominate them in the relevant category below!

GP of the Year

This award recognises a GP whose leadership and drive have made a real difference to their patients and/or the profession over the course of the past year.

GP Trainer / Educator of the Year

We are delighted to announce that we are extending the scope of the GP Trainer of the Year to include GPs involved in other aspects of General Practice Education.

We are looking to recognise an inspirational GP who is recognised by their trainee/s as providing invaluable leadership and direction.

Establishing GP of the Year

Do you know a GP that is in the process of Establishing in practice that you think should receive the Award?  You can nominate others or even yourself if you'd like!

The doctor or doctors in question will be in the early stages of their career and, in your view, have shown leadership qualities or innovation in relation to General Practice. Perhaps they have set up a new practice?  Perhaps they are involved in a initiative you feel is worthy of recognition?

GP Trainee of the Year

Perhaps the doctor in question has shown excellence in their hospital or GP placements? Perhaps they have made a significant contribution to the profession?

This award is also suitable for recognising those trainees who have overcome significant adversity.

The doctor in question will be a current trainee or has concluded training in 2024.

Practice Nurse of the Year

This award will be awarded to a Practice Nurse who has made an outstanding contribution to a practice in the domains of patient care, clinical innovation or contribution to the community.

Practice Administrator of the Year

Practice administrators are the bedrock of our practices and contribute enormously to patient care and experience.

Recognising excellence amongst the practice administration community has always been a priority for the GPBuddy Awards.

Rural Practice of the Year

Rural practices have often been the most squeezed in recent years in Irish General Practice. Despite this, colleagues in rural areas continue to provide exemplary patient care.

Have you such a colleague in mind that you feel deserves recognition?  Perhaps this individual provides access to care for very isolated patients?

Patients' Choice Award

We invite members of the public to nominate a GP who has gone above and beyond for them or their family or community.

This award is an opportunity to say thank you and recognise extraordinary contributions to health and well-being amongst our patients.
